The Indoor Track & Field team takes the 2010 PSAC Championship.

The Lock Haven University men's indoor track & field team won the 2010 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track & Field Championship, held at Edinboro University's brand-new Mike S. Zafirovski Sports & Recreation Dome.

The Bald Eagles won a thriller downing East Stroudsburg University by just a half point.

The Haven men finished with 135 points, besting ESU's 134.5. Shippensburg rounded out the top-three teams on the men's side.

The Lady Eagles took seventh overall with 31 points. Ship took home the title on the women's side, the Red Raiders first outright PSAC Crown.

The team title marks the fifth for the Bald Eagles since 2002 and first since 2007.

Lock Haven's five men's indoor conference championships are the most of any PSAC school.

Leading the Bald Eagles to the team title was two individual champions in Nick Hilton (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and Greg Mock (Sicklerville, N.J./Timbercreek).

Hilton had a tremendous day and turned in a sensational individual double that helped The Haven to the title. Hilton won the mile with a championship meet record time of 4:08.78.

Hilton's time was the second fastest ever in Bald Eagles history and missed a NCAA automatic qualifying time by just .18 seconds.

Hilton came back and took second overall in the 3K with a time of 8:28.34.

Mock won the men's 60 meter dash with a time of 6.82. His time is a meet record and a NCAA provisional mark. Mock's time of 6.82 currently has him ranked 11th in all of Division II.

The mile and 3K were both big events for Lock Haven.

Along with Hilton's first-place showing the mile, the Bald Eagles also added a fourth and fifth place finish.

Nathan Zondlo (Avoca, Pa./Pittston Area) and Brandon Pomerantz (Holland, Pa./Council Rock North) were fourth and fifth with solid times of 4:13.37 and 4:14.59, respectively.

In the 3K, LHU went 2-3-7-8. Hilton was second with a time of 8:28.34 and Zondlo was on his heels with a mark of 8:28.63.

A.J. Johnson (Coventry, R.I./Coventry) and Mitch Miller (Morrisville, N.Y./Morrisville-Eaton) were seventh and eighth for LHU in the 3K in a race that saw the top six finishers all dip under the previous meet record time.
