Joey Michael Duffield, 27, of 615 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven, Apt. 31 is on $250,000 bail at Clinton County Correctional Facility after he shot and killed John E. Aikey Jr., 31, of Lock Haven.
According to the Lock Haven Express, the two men had a dispute that Aikey owed over $400 due to marijuana sales.
Shon Michael Tolbert, 23, of 364 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven and Parrish Vincent Munro Jr., 29, of 166 S. Jones St., Lock Haven, are also involved with the drug sale that led to Aikey's death.
The Express said Perry Munro sold two ounces of marijuana to Tolbert for $300. Tolbert was then going to sell the drug to Aikey for $400. Aikey, though, left without paying, which caused a confrontation between the men.
Aikey and Duffield then got into a physical confrontation. Aikey supposedly had a knife, which led to Duffeild pulling out a 9mm Smith and Wesson firearm and shooting Aikey outside of the apartment.
Duffield has been charged with the felony of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal conspiracy-delivery of a controlled substance, the Lock Haven Express said.
Aikey was taken to the Lock Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead
