Women's basketball starts off season 1-0 with win over Penn College

The LHU women's basketball team (1-0) started off the season strong with a 90-38 home victory over Penn College (1-1).
LHU took the lead early and never gave up, leading 41-19 at halftime.
The Haven's defense was strong as Penn College only scored 19 points in each half.
Senior guard Marisa Elliot led the Lady Eagles scoring 17 points in the game. Junior forward Kristen Kudrick was close behind Elliot with 13 points and was six for six on free throws.
Sophomore Sharay Hall had seven points in the game, with six rebounds and also made three out of four on free throws.
Freshman Milan Dry and Senior Casi Donelan both scored 10 points in the game for The Haven. Dry also had five rebounds.
LHU had a total of 47 rebounds and shot 12-16 on free throws and 35-83 in field goals.
Lock Haven will be back on the court in the Millersville University tournament this weekend, which will run Friday to Saturday (Nov. 20 - 21) where they will take on West Chester to start off the tournament and then battle Millersville on Saturday.
