The members of Distinguished Gentlemen are inviting campus clubs and organizations to take part in designing an academic calendar meant to promote university involvement and to foster campus unity.
Each organization interested in participating will pick their preferred month, depending on availability.
The Distinguished Gentlemen will then provide the cost of a professional photo shoot, unless an organization prefers to use their own photo.
The Distinguished Gentlemen club is also asking that all participating organizations include a brief written description of what their organization represents and what it is about.
You may want to include when your organization was founded, philanthropy, goals and objectives, activities you participate in, or the type of characteristics your members possess.
Fourth-year student and president of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, Laura Kuscan, thought that the calendar was a great opportunity for student organizations.
"This is something me and the girls are definitely going to look into. I think the Distinguished Gentlemen had a great idea for the calendar by including all of us involved in the university in it. It would be good to see the diversity of LHU's organizations, from Greeks to associations," she said.
The cost for an organization to be included in the calendar is $20, but the first eight organizations to sign up will receive a discounted price of $15.
This is another great opportunity for newer organizations and clubs lacking member enrollment.
The calendars can be used during club fairs, events and recruitments as a way to promote organizations and clubs.
For students who are interested in purchasing a calendar, the cost will be $20, but the first thirty calendars will be sold for $15.
"The academic calendar that the Distinguished Gentlemen are creating will be a great way to gain more members for such a small club like us. It's hard to get new members when people aren't even sure what we are about and what we do," said Danielle Tepper, a senior and president of the Society of Collegiate Journalists. "We will strongly consider it."
Any club or organization interested in participating should contact DG President Michael Duffy.
