With a motto of "wrestling, the way it was meant to be," some may be wondering what to expect at an event of this stature.
"We are a family-oriented company," said Dino Sanna, company owner and president. "You won't see any nudity or hear any obscene language during our matches because we're bringing back the way wrestling should really be."
Sanna went on to say that back in the 80's, pro-wrestling was something to take pride in. However, today, all the large corporations are starting to get away from the true spirit of wrestling.
"We have over 260 wrestlers and we compete in events all over the U.S. and the world: Africa, Italy, Australia, all over," said Sanna. "And now we're here in Lock Haven to help Citizens Hose who helps out the community every day."
WWWA sponsors fundraising events for colleges, high schools, non-profit organizations and other fire companies as well. According to Sanna, though, this one is "going to be big."
"If you're sick and tired of the stuff that you see on TV because it's a soap opera and not real wrestling, you don't have to worry about us," said Sanna.
So what makes a fire company choose to bring pro-wrestling to Lock Haven as a fundraiser?
"25 years ago we had a pro-wrestling match held here as a fundraiser," said Lock Haven Magisterial District Judge Joseph Sanders, also a 28-year volunteer at the fire company and the company's trustee.
At that time, the event proceeds from 2,500 fans bought the company their first rescue truck. Now, over a quarter of a century later, the company has decided that pro-wrestling is the way to go if they want to see the necessary building repairs.
"The philosophy, goal and objective of (WWWA) matched our company's goal and objective; they're company matches what our company is attempting to do," said Sanders.
Sanders went on to say that the City of Lock Haven provides the company with one paid driver, Bill Bailey, and the rest of the time Citizens Hose runs off of their 175-200 volunteers who participate in some aspect of the company.

WWWA still promotes great shows regularly. They have a full schedule of shows throughout 2009 already listed. With wrestlers like Slambo and Whack-o-Lantern, what's there not to like?
