Danity Kane, an all-girl group signed by Bad Boy Records, was created through the hit MTV show "Making the Band Three."
The group is made up of the following members: Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, Aubrey O'Day, Dawn Richard and Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgette.
They all fought their way to stardom on the MTV show "Making the Band Three" that was executive produced by Sean Combs, aka P. Diddy.
P. Diddy really knew what he was doing when he formed this group, as well as he knew that Danity Kane would make it big.
Danity Kane should be grateful to the show because it has given them a lot of publicity, which definitely played an important role in their success.
The girls were also on the fourth season of "Making the Band."
The fourth season was devoted to them manufacturing their sophomore album along with the other "Making the Band Four" group, Day 26.
Day 26 also made their debut album on this season while the girls worked on their second.
"Welcome to the Dollhouse" has been very popular over the past two weeks since the release of the album at the end of last month.
The album received much hype over the last few months due to a young crowd tuning in every Monday night to watch the fourth season of "Making the Band."
The show helped Danity Kane sell over 236,000 copies of "Welcome to the Dollhouse" during the first week.
Each week on the show, Danity Kane recorded new tracks.
The public was able to see on the show how well Bex, Fimbres, O'Day, Richard, and Woods all worked together as a group.
The show also allowed for the public to learn how much work actually goes into the making of an album.
Once a track was created, viewers of the show were given small previews of some of the tracks.
This was before the album was even available in stores.
That is certainly a way to advertise your album to make it big in the music industry.
Despite Danity Kane being such a young group; only having celebrated their second birthday throughout the course of the show, they really have a grasp on what it takes to achieve stardom and popularity.
