The end is near

Forget the rapture. Forget the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Forget everything you've ever heard about the end of the world. Because on Nov. 4, 2007 the world may very well end when two superpowers engage in a battle for the undisputed supremacy over their domain.
Despite whether or not either team remains undefeated before hand, or suffers their first loss of the season, the Colts and Patriots strangle hold over the rest of the league cannot be ignored.
The Colts are defending Super Bowl Champions with arguably the best Quarterback in the league. Statistically, no one has done the things Peyton Manning has done over the past few years and coming off his first championship win, neither Manning nor the rest of his squad are set on playing second fiddle to the Patriots once again.
On the other hand, the Patriots, thus far, are dominating any and every team they play. If life were a game the Patriots would be All-Madden playing second-rate CFL teams on amateur setting.
And while Tom Brady may not live up to Manning's numbers, he certainly has the hardware that Manning does not. By a count of 3-1, Brady trumps Manning in Super Bowl titles, and while the battle between the blue and white and blue and grey has waged for quite sometime now, this year has certainly unleashed a new kind of hostility between the two clubs.
For the first time in their recent rivalry, the Colts sit atop the league as defending champions, while the Patriots fight to regain their past glory. Both teams have the offensive arsenal equivalent to that of the United States and Russia during the 60's. And with their big guns in place, the Pats and Colts are set to unleash all-out-war on one another.
And while most people expect an aerial exhibition, this game wont be decided by Manning and Harrison anymore than it will by Brady and Moss.
Everyone knows these teams can put up big points, but what of their defenses? New England has always had a tenacious defense, while the Colts have come into their own, as of recent.
This game will come down the defense that makes a "tide turning" stand. A stand that will ultimately decide the NFL's top team. A stand that I think the Colts defense will make.
Both teams will put up points, but I think Tom Brady will be knocked off his exceptionally high pedestal. I'm just going by statistical fact; at some point Brady has to prove he is human. And it's because of this; I think the Patriots will lose this game, 27-24.
