Q: What song is stuck in your head right now?
A: "Sleeping In" by the Postal Service.
Q: If your life was a movie, would it be a comedy, a drama, or chick flick?
A: Drama, I'd say.
Q: What is the one food you can't live without?
A: I'm not picky, honestly, I don't know. I could eat anything. I'm trying to think. I like popcorn.
Q: Who is your role model?
A: FDR. Franklin Delano Roosevelt, definitely. He was a great person. He did so much for this country and I just like his idea that sometimes it's necessary to do things that go against the norms or the conventional way of thinking.
He completely turned around our country. He brought us out of a depression, period. I love the way he personified himself. He was a man in a wheelchair and he did so much. He could have been the sorriest person because he was in a wheelchair, but he did so much for this country, so I would have to say he is my role model, 110 percent. I'm a huge FDR fan. I absolutely adore him. He's great.
Q: Describe your dream car:
A: I'm not big on cars, sorry. I don't know. Okay, Aston Martin. The ones on James Bond, there you go. I like those.
Q: What is something you've done that makes you proud:
A: Wow. Completing 450 hours of community service last year doing Americorps and going to school full time. Americorps is a program I wish a lot of students would participate in. One of the things I want to do next year is push community service, because that's a big thing. I wish more students knew about that. Americops is a good program and that's one of the things I've done that makes me most proud.
Q: What would you like to say to the people who voted for you for President?
A: I'd like to say thanks. I'd like to thank Nate Weaver big time. He was our campaign manager and he just rocked it. When we would talk to clubs and organizations on campus, he would go out of his way to chalk on sidewalks. He took a lot of pressure off of us. I don't know if you saw the flyers we were handing out, but he probably cut 1,500 of those. He was all about us and it was just great. We had a campaign staff of 26 people and it was great to have those people there for us. So, I would say thanks for showing us support. It just shows how people actually back us on this and what we want to do and accomplish here next year. Nate Weaver is a great guy. He did a lot for us.
Q: If you wrote book on "How to be Will Dowd," what would be step one?
A: Focus on one thing at a time instead of everything at once. I'm a very sporadic person, but whenever I need to be a certain way, I can pretty much focus with about 10 cups of coffee. I get a lot of things done. I am an active person. But the first step is to just focus on one thing at a time.
Q: What is the greatest CD ever made?
A: Oh man. "A Rush of Blood to the Head" by Coldplay.
Q: What is your favorite movie of all time?
A: Ok I'll tell you the true one: "Shakespeare in Love." I love that movie. I could watch it over and over again. But I'm going to have to go with "V for Vendetta." "V for Vendetta" is definitely one of my favorites.
Q: Who is your favorite professor?
A: Andrew Musila. He's a political science professor. I really enjoyed his class. I don't know him on a personal level, but I learned a heck of a lot. He's the reason why political science is my minor.
