Bald Eagles fall at WVU; dominate Cleveland State

The Lock Haven men's wrestling team (2-6, 1-3 EWL) took a tough loss at West Virginia University (2-7, 2-1 EWL) 32-12 on Sunday. LHU junior Jeremie Cook pinned Robert DeSano in the 184 pound-weight class in under six minutes. Junior Owen Wilkinson also got a pin in the 141 pound-weight class for LHU when he took down Christian Hartsell in just over two minutes.

The Lock Haven University swim team capped off a solid weekend of swimming at the Vulcan Dual Meet Challenge, hosted by California (Pa.) University. The Lady Eagles went 3-0 on the weekend and earned top honors in the overall standings with 735 points.

The Lock Haven men's basketball team (5-12, 2-4 PSAC) fell to Gannon 51-48, after The Haven put up a good fight late in the game. Sophomore guard Andres Carpio led the Eagles with 14 points in just 27 minutes, while sophomore Eric Brennan added 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists.

The LHU women's basketball team (5-12, 0-6 PSAC West) was downed by Gannon University (22-0, 6-0 PSAC West) at home on Saturday 74-51. Senior guard Casi Donelan scored 13 points to lead The Haven, also having three assists while junior forward Kristen Kudrick put up 12 on the scoreboard.

So here it is, Super Bowl XLIV. Every football fan is waiting to see a great offensive matchup between the two teams who nearly went undefeated in the regular season.
