Bald Eagles cross country takes third; Lady Eagles finish sixth at Region Championship

The LHU men's cross country team took third in the Region Cross Country Championships while the women's team, ranked fourth in the Atlantic Region, finished in sixth. The Bald Eagles recently moved to the #12 spot of the National Poll in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and is also now ranked first in the Region Poll.

Field hockey ends win-streak in NCAA play-in match against American University

The LHU field hockey team (18-5) ended their season Tuesday, when they took a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to host, American University, in the NCAA Division I play-in match for the second year in a row. The Haven did walk away this season as the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament champions for the fourth straight year, after beating Monmouth in the final round.

Swimming falls at ESU 132-130; Terray and Rehrig set ESU pool records

The Lock Haven University swim team (3-2) dropped a dual-meet tonight at East Stroudsburg University 132-130, as the thrilling Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) meet came down to the final two events. The Lady Eagles took home seven first place finishes in 14 total events, including a win the in then night's opening race.

Volleyball heading to PSAC Semifinal match

The LHU volleyball team (31-4) has extended its win-streak to 23 matches after downing West Chester 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, and 25-11) at home in the quarterfinal match of the PSAC Tournament. This win gives the Lady Eagles home-court advantage for the rest of the tournament.

Football falls to CW Post 27-15 in 2009 season finale

Shawn Faulk passed for 251 yards and rushed for two touchdowns, but his tremendous individual effort wasn't enough, as the Lock Haven University football team (0-10) dropped its 2009 season finale 27-15 on the road at CW Post (6-5). Faulk's 251 yards through the air marked the first time a LHU quarterback passed for over a 200 yards in a single game since the 2006 season.

Smith sees heart, desire

Alanna Lewis (Trinidad and Tobago/Southeast Port-of-Spain), Amy Hordendorf (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights) and Suzann Hobart (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) of the Lock Haven University field hockey all earned 2009 All-Northeast Conference (NEC) First Team honors for their efforts in leading the Lady Eagles to another successful regular season.
