The women's lacrosse team wrapped up their regular season schedule last week with conference wins at Bloomsburg and Slippery Rock. On Thursday the Lady Eagles overcame a halftime deficit to defeat Bloomsburg 16-13. LHU then cruised in their regular season finale with a 23-1 win at Slippery Rock Saturday afternoon.
The softball team (40-6, 17-1 PSAC) ended their regular season with three doubleheader sweeps over PSAC East leading Kutztown as well as western opponents IUP and Edinboro. Kristen Erb and Amanda Roosa also swept the weekly awards as LHU found there way to another PSAC West title.
Both the men's and women's track and field teams were, once again, on the road this past weekend for the Big Red Outdoor Invitational, hosted by Cornell University and the Penn Relays, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. With the season officially over for the baseball team, the whole team can look forward to improving for next year -- most of the team, that is. Two Bald Eagles took the field at Foundation field for the last time this past Friday as Lock Haven began their weekend series with Shippensburg.
The wrestling season for the Lock Haven University wrestling team ended over a month ago and they're still making news. On Monday the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released their annual Top 10 winter sports athletes and LHU's own Matt Fittery was named to the exclusive list.
